Match Report – Manchester United 1 – 0 FC Copenhagen (AET) – The Red Devils finally break the dead lock to get through to the semi-finals of the Europa League.

A match in which initially looked like a walk in the park for Ole and his squad, heavily favourites with bookies in fact at 2/7, but Copenhagen put a good account of themselves and even had chances to take the match to United. Bruno Fernandes’ penalty in the extra time broke the dead lock in what see’s United get through to another semi-final.

After a very thrilling game, the fun isn’t due to stop there – in fact over at The Best Casinos they have a wide variety of the best slots on the web, our personal favourite being Mr Sloty as the reviews at Mr Sloty show it being very well regarded.

In the first half, Copenhagen were initially on top and looked dangerous and likely to score, and they would have done if it wasn’t for a couple of moments of excellent defending from Eric Bailly. United looked sloppy, couldn’t string a sequence of passes around, no killer final ball and generally just looked lethargic; as if they’d exhausted their squad in the Premier League to get third position to ensure they are in the Champions League next season.

It was like a game of two halves this, Man United came out in the second half all guns blazing, pinning back Copenhagen into their 18-yard box and registering 14 shots on target throughout the match. Not just that, they had 2 disallowed goals from Rashford and Greenwood due to being offside – it looked as if the breakthrough was never going to come.

Unfortunately, the breakthrough did come in Extra Time from the penalty spot, but that doesn’t take away from the man of the match performance from goalkeeper Karl-Johan Johnsson who will have been gutted to concede after such a good performance.

United will be watching Wednesday’s fixture of between Wolves and Sevilla with eager eyes as they await them in the semi-finals in what is due to be a mouther-watering fixture.
